Maltina Teacher of the Year – 11th Edition Flag-Off, Lagos, 2025
Nigerian Breweries Plc officially launched the 11th edition of the Maltina Teacher of the Year competition in Lagos, bringing together education stakeholders, corporate partners, and media to celebrate the beginning of another cycle of Nigeria’s most recognised teacher appreciation initiative.
Sponsored by the Nigerian Breweries-Felix Ohiwerei Education Trust Fund, the competition has honoured over 278 teachers and 9 grand prize winners since its inception in 2015 — while donating school infrastructure to 75+ communities and funding international capacity-building programmes at the University of Manchester and Tampere University, Finland.
MD/CEO Hans Essaadi, represented by Corporate Affairs Director Uzodinma Odenigbo, reaffirmed NB Plc’s commitment to education. Marketing Director Sarah Agha described the initiative as “a heartfelt expression of gratitude to our quiet heroes.”
